In todays computer world you might own your vehicle outright but do not have the hard copy title.

If you bought it from a dealership and paid it off a simple phone call to them will get the process going.

If you bought it from a privet person you should have been given the title upon paying for it. When you registered it, the DMV will have on record that you own it out right and there is no lean holder. You will need to go to your local DMV Office and simple show them your registration and a valid ID to obtain a new Title.

If the vehicle is over 10 years old, NO TITLE IS REQUIRED for us to purchase the vehicle. Yet, you must have documentation such as your registration proving you own the vehicle and have legal right to sell it.
